ou’ve already been living in a story, but maybe you weren’t aware of it. We’re going to make the story you’ve been living so far explicit. In the process you’ll identify some themes from the stories you’ve been living so far - themes that you either want to reinforce in the next story you create, or themes you want to avoid going forward.
Process
- Using the spreadsheet below, plot your life. Think about the events of your life that have unfolded so far.
- For each, write down a title and a brief description of the memory. Then rate it from -10 to +10. Write down how it shaped you.
- Look at your chart. Ask yourself if there were any consistent elements in the high points, and in the low ones. Why did those memories stick out? Why were they so impactful? Why are they so vivid in your mind?
- Optional: Try to summarize into a couple of “themes”.
